Brief Description:  Tried fitting skin to OB wing structure

Another disappointing day; tried fitting the middle skin to the OB wing structure and ran into more problems. I had already re-made the root rib trailing edge rear spar attach bracket because the rear spar holes on the original part that came with the pre-made angle kit were 1/8" too high on the angle flange. I made new brackets and lowered the holes 1/8" and that corrected the rib and rear spar skin flange alignment problem but now, the angle holes need to be moved outward on the angle about 3/32". Currently the prepunched skin holes do not line up with the rear spar when the skin is up against the root Rib.The rear spar needs to move outward about 3/32" to get the holes to align. Same on both left and right OB wings. So, the spar mounting holes on the original pre-made angle brackets were not only 1/8" too high but also 3/32" too far inward.

I preassembled the inboard wing rear spar and rib to make sure things would fit properly if I moved the angle holes and it looks like the inboard and outboard wings will fit after I move the holes. Currently there is about a 3/32" gap between the inboard and outboard rear ribs when I try to fit the two together so I'm convinced moving the angle holes outward is the correct solution.

Today I made another set of angle brackets and this time I only match drilled the root rIb rivet holes in the new parts. I think I can clico the new angles to the root rib and then wrap the skin around the wing structure clico'ing it to the rear spar top and bottom. Then I will push the root rib flush with the skin edge. Then I will match drill the AN3 bolt holes in the new angle brackets. Probably should have done that with the first set I made instead of assuming the original part holes were correct in the lateral dimemsion and just bad in the vertical dimension.
