Brief Description: Still here fighting a bad case of project burnout
I'm still here fighting a bad case of project burnout. The last100 hours or so working on the airplane have been very frustrating dealing with fitment and design issues. A Sonex kit is simply not the same as a Van's RV kit. I think I was spoiled by first building an RV9 and I expected the Sonex OneX to be a similar quality kit but it is not.
Anyway, I'm hoping to get back into building on the OneX but maybe not until Spring now. The hangar at W&C is heated but gets a little chilly in the winter when the outside temps get down into the teens.
In the meantime I've been working on some projects at home. Because I was making or remaking so many aluminum parts for the OneX I thought it would be fun to build a CNC milling machine. So, I bought a bench top vertical mill and converted it to CNC. This project has kept me busy and kept my mind off the OneX for a couple months which I really needed.
