Riveted the turtle deck skin. No problems, everything went well. Started at the top and worked down, used a pick to help align some of the holes in the formers. I riveted the turtle deck skin overlapping the side skin which I think is not how the plans indicate.
The plans show the top skin inside the side skins which I think is incorrect. With the top skin inside, any water on the top would tend to flow inside the fuselage, with the top skin outside, overlapping the side, water would tend to run off much better, like the shingles on a roof. I know other builders have installed the top skin on the outside and I've read that Sonex doesn't think it is a problem.
