Brief Description:  Cleco fuselage & champher engine mount parts

Fitted and drilled in place the two new F08-14 brackets I made. Clecoed the side assemblies to the bottom assembly so I could drill the third F08-09 angles to the bottom skin. The skin is not prepunched for this angle since the third F08-09 location is further rearward for a tricycle gear airplane and I assume Sonex uses the same bottom skin for tail dragger and tricycle gear aircraft.

Began fitting the 8 motor mount brackets to the front of the fuselage. Had to grind away or champher three edges on each set of brackets so they will properly nest within each other and the side stringers. Not a big deal but does take time. All in all, the fitment of the forward fuselage skins and premade angle components are pretty good. Other than the F08-14 brackets, I have not had to remake any of the other angle components. One prepuched hole on the lower left engine mount assembly did not line up well with a the stinger, about 1/4 of a hole off but that will be OK once the hole is updrilled.

Have been studying the landing gear attach plans which are a bit vague. I think I know what needs to be done now. Will try to use the F08-09 angles as drillijng guides for the gear leg. Will probably make a couple temporary brackets to hold the angles at the correct seperation so I can then clamp them to the gear leg and drill the 10 mounting holes through the angles into the gear leg. Not sure I can drill the holes in a drill press, hope so.
