Brief Description: Drilled some of the tail wheel weldments
Reassembled the fuselage sides w/clecoes and bolted the HS and VS in place. Mounted the tail wheel spring and began fitting the tail wheel assembly. The weldment for the wheel was only half drilled, only one of the holes for the wheel axle was predrilled and only one of the pivot holes. So had to drill the missing holes and then updrill all the holes from about 3/16" to 3/8" for an AN6 bolt. Only one end of the linkage rod from the rudder horn to the tail wheel assembly was drilled which is fine, I would guess there is enough differences between aircraft where you would want to drill the second hole in place to ensure the wheel is straight when the rudder is straight. The plans do not call for any washers in the tail wheel assembly but I will probably order some and add them to the wheel axle to keep the wheel centered because there is quite a bit of slop in this area.
