Brief Description: Pilot drilled left OB center top skin to frame
Pilot drilled the left OB center skin top to the wing frame. Everything went well for a change. Also ground out the right center spar aileron pass-through hole for clearance, same as I did for the left wing. I need to make some sample dimples to determine what best works for the wing skins forward of the center spar. Cleaveland Tool has not yet finished their new special dimple die for Sonex flush rivets. Mike Lauritsen (Cleaveland Tool) took a 120 degree 1/8" male dimple die and turned down the nipple to a #40 drill size so I will try that on some sample #40 holes. After dimpling I will ream out the hole to #30 for the rivet. I have several other die combinations to try and will pick what works best.
