Today I wanted to complete some small stuff on the baffle but could not. I installed the 2 blast tubes to cool the mags as suggested by the Vans baffle kit. I wanted to add a cooling tube for the main forward alternator but I was not sure if I have to use 7/8" or even 1" because the back side that has the inlet for it is 1" OD but that thing is deep and sliding a 7/8" tube in it should be sufficient. So I need to find what others have done. Then I had, on the co-pilot side, trim the center base baffle because the flywheel was almost touching the baffle.
Where I waste the most time is tryng to tap SS rods to thread them so I can pull on the baffles. I have bought 1/8" SS rods and tried to thread 6-32 on both ends ... Too much material to remove so I abandonned ... I found SS wire 0.102" that will do the trick at McMaster Carr in the US so I will get it next weekend.
I will have more time on my hands as I am retiring next Friday so despite all my projects, finishing this airplane is my number one priority. I wanted it to be flying next May.

Baffle trimmed so the flywheel is free in it's spinning.
