Brief Description: One more mistake !!!
|
|
Here is my second problem. This time, the only fix is to re-do it all. I thought to be smart by drilling the tank union plate and the rib together. When I slid the tank plate union between the top sheet and the rib, the rib moved enough that I should not have left the rib in such position and of course I did not noticed the problem in the making. After recognising my major error, it was already too late as the rib holes were already & incorrectly drilled. To dilute my madness, I repositioned the rib properly and redrilled the ribs holes to see what it would be like, hence giving a second set of holes, knowing well, it could not be left as it was. Lesson learned: I re-ordered the skin, 1 rib , the tank plate union. This error cost me $160 ! Here in Canada it represent 94 liters of 100LL fuel or 4 hours of flight time in my Cessna 150 , gone to waste !
