It was not a sexy day today and it actually slowed me down quite a bit. I noticed in my review that I did not made the connection cable to interface the ELT with the Garmin GPS . I do not think it is mandatory but doing so gives to the ELT a geo localisation from the GPS in case of an accident ! An additional safety, so why not use it if it's there ?
The problem with my finding was to re-open everything almost to slack some nuts under the floor, and so on .... you see the picture ?
The work meant to connect a 3 wires shielded cable with the small connector (all solder joints) , run the cable from the back all the way to the firewall , through the tunnel, in the console hiding the fuel pump and up and behind the panel to the GPS ... find some power and connect everything. Finally add one more electrical drawing, correct the table of content ! I still have to connect the GPS but at least I ran the wire. You can certainly imagine that it was not a simple easy task.
Then to end the day, I spent 2 hours cleaning my workshop ! Man it was up side down ! At least tomorrow , It should be a much easier day !
