Brief Description:  Canopy latch - micro switch installed

Today I worked at installing the micro switch to detect if the canopy is locked or not . It took me a whole lot longer to figure out how to properly locate the switch with those conditions: non obstructive with anything, not dangerous for our heads when bouncing around, invisible at best ....

You can see when I close the latch, it hits the switch closed. You can see the result in the HDX screen .... One thing I did not want to do was to ground anything through the structure but this is so small and I do not want to run a ground wire for that so I will ground it on the roll bar properly.

I originally thought to use pin 29 which turns out to be the only pin you cannot program because it is for an external warning light. So, I opened the Dsub and changed it to pin 12 , which is offered in the Contact sensor setup ... Not a big deal to change but I managed to drop the 2 side screws of the Dsub ... I searched inside the cabin for more than 1 hour and only found 1 out of the two. I used my snake cam to look everywhere ... The one I found was stuck between the trim cable and the floor box where the cable enters. ... I got pissed and decided to search again tomorrow morning when I am fresh out of bed !
