Brief Description:  Spinner alignment

Today I worked hard at aligning the spinner so it could turn perfectly centered. To get there, I used a cross beam laser line right at the center of the spinner. To find the spinner center, I used some blue chalk powder wet the end of the cone and went down straight in the chalk powder. That worked quite well. Then I marked that spot where my cross beams were aiming. Then for the rest it is pretty simple. Attach it at 180 degree and move the nose until it stays center. Once I was satisfied, then I drilled 2 other holes at 90 degree from the first two and then secured it with more holes ...

Once that was done, I was able to add bondo under the forward bulkhead because the cone was positioned properly with the cleco. The picture shows the red cord of bondo but that is on the inbound edge so it looks bigger but the reality I think is more like 0,032" thick at most. I will see that tomorrow because I am letting it cure overnight. I have wrapped the disk with saran wrap and waxed it ... so it should come out eazy .

Last I cut the part behind the prop and made it so it could follow a 13" diameter. I still need to do the other one and trim them to perfection but that should be easy work for tomorrow !
