Brief Description:  Finishing the scoop ... almost !

I worked 3 evenings during the past week. I wanted to complete the finishing curve around the scoop base so the assembly would look as a single piece. Basically I sanded 3 times the surface, I made on the first pass a micro baloon filled epoxy (west system #107 red colored) and re did it a second time with a grey color added to the mixture , but this last coat was done with a peel ply. Of course I sanded between each time and although it is almost perfect, it is not perfect yet ! I think I will have to re-do it one more time , resand and finish that top surface with some car putty (in extremely tiny coat to plug the pinholes and such imperfection prior of priming.

It looks pretty good but it is not ready to paint yet . More on that next Monday !
