By far the most difficult task to do is to get that cowling fit properly. There are so many uneven lines in this cowling, I am impressed they were able to mold this thing fairly close to the reality. In fact, to try to fit this cowling , on the fuselage got me spent exactly 42 hours and it is not 100% completed !
But nonobstant this, fitting this cowling require 3 things : patience, patience and patience ! But today I'va had enough of this and decided to stop early and relax. Tomorrow, I think I will drill the hinges. Once that done, I will cut the oil door access, and the other openings to be able to remove and install the cowling. I will also probably cut out the air scoop which is the one thing I really like when looking at an RV airplane. Since I have a vertical induction, I got to have that scoop !
Trimming this cowl and make it fit is a story of patience
