This weekend was also about preparing for closing the top forward skin. With that in mind I had some thought about having to go under the panel one day. Of course , although the right stick that is supposed to be a removable one, I never cared for that , thinking I would never disassemble it.So with the powder coating on it, the insertion was OK & drilled the hole for the bolt & that's it. This weekend, looking at the space, I wanted to remove it and of course it was stuck like no tomorrow ! I had to dismantle the whole column and getting it out of it's hole was not an easy task. Now it's much better to access the legs area of the cockpit !
An other aspect is after peaking with the inspector he told me that I could not close it before he looks under ... screws makes it a lot more easier.
The rest of the weekend was done by installing plate nuts under the floor. Back in the `80 & `90 the electrical wiring under floors was I am assuming much less. In my case the roll servo wiring goes to the back and to the tunnel and keeping access in case of an issue is not a luxury. So after some thoughts, I decided to screw it all. If ever something needs to have access, at least it will be possible !
