Brief Description:  Wiring and Cowling jig

Vans advised last week that the paid propeller will ship on the 16th ... more delay ! At any rate, I ordered more big cable and hooked them up. The PPS is all connected now. Quite happy with that . I needed this hydrolic crimper to do all those terminals connection with the large wires and the results is very professionnal.

Next in planning to install the cowling and following the instructions on the kitplane article of last month, I prepared the jig to center and position properly the cowling. I epoxied everything .

I could not find a piece of pipe 2 1/2" schedule 80 as suggested. Instead I used a 2" pipe and a usion which happene to be just slightly over 2 1/4" to rest on the crankshaft end ... So I made the holes in the 3/4" wasted UHMW board and epoxied the union in it. I only need to cut the plank 6 X 6 to finish it. Then the 13" diameter piece was done gluing a piece of 0,025" aluminium on a 1/2" plywood and also secured with hex bolt. the center holes will rides over the 2" pipe ....
