This past weekend, I managed to complete the canopy transition . I had a little bit of time on my hand and I have also started reassembling my panel to install it final in the cockpit.
Below the pictures are showing the peel ply just after it had been added to the top surface. The second picture is showing after the last wet coat that I had put on the to surface. Noticesd that I had replaced the protecting tapes to insure that the protection would be at it's maximum. Last is final result after the "bondo style paste has been added and sanded away for the most part, just blocking some very minor pin holes ...
Overall result is quite near perfection. I am please with the result. It took me 56 hours to do this transition. In this there is a good learning portion and some testing. My first encounter with fiberglass has been interesting.
