Brief Description:  Canopy continuing

Although I cannot show all the pictures I took, it has been a really good weekend. For one, I completed the locking system that permits to lock down the canopy. It was not simple to install those brackets ... I wonder if my sequence of installing them was done at the right time. At any rate, it worked out good. I would only like to add the UHMW guides that will help to ease them in the hole .

I also completed the bolting and riveting of both sides of the canopy. As you can see, to follow the shape of the fuselage, I had to add some shims that will ne be apparent once the canopy fiberglass is done. It looks like a big gap in the picture but it's less than 1/16" ... nothing to wrry about.

Finally I covered my plexi with saran wrap. I also prepared the front end in prevision of doing the fiberglass transition. I followed to the letter the RV14 free public videos & plans on how to do it. Sanding is done but because I did not have the Isopropyl Alcool and it was late in the day, I stopped to rest ! I did prepare the paper jig for cutting out the fiberglass.

But I realize once more that everything takes much more time than planned. I started to work on the canopy around Xmas and I am still not done ... I hope by next weekend this will be behind me !
