Brief Description:  Canopy drilling process

Cutting was pretty straight forward. At room temperature I used dremmel plastic cutting disc type and I went through it like butter. Because of space available I trimmed it in place after removing the flanges. This was pretty straight forward.

Drilling it required a few more steps ... Once it was located in it's position, I used a plexiglass drill (it's basically a pointy drill) 1/8'' to do the initial hole. But it could not pierce the plexiglass because the metal structure was under the plexi. At this point I used a 1/64" standard drill and went through the plexi and mad a locating hole in the metal.

Then I used a #40 drill, made a larger hole through the plexi and the metal, blew some air to clean the hole and add a cleco to hold it in place. That was my initial preparation.
