Brief Description: Preparing for canopy installation
This weekend I did a lot of deburring , priming again. I also dismantle the panel to prepare it for final riveting and painting while waiting for the dry transfer print to arrive in early December.
I did not have much to show in pictures but soon the canopy area shall be riveted. I installed the locking brackets for the canopy and serach for the parts to complete the installation. So far I reterive everything except a little bent plate that attach the bracket to the pushrod mechanism.
One thing that took me a long time this weekend, about 3 hours, was to remove one screw that was holding the radio face plate. That screw was stripped and I had to take extreme precaution to not scratch anything. Frustrating as the hexagonale hole because of the paint became a source of major frustration.
This week, I will do a few hours to debur and if weather permits, I will prime outside.
I am anxious to start installing the canopy and would like to have it started before mid-December.
