Brief Description: Preparing for skinning the forward top side.
Today I started to reassemble in order to prepare for skinning the forward top. So I reinstalled the panel and sub-panel, I installed the canopy framemuch better than my last trial,
One thing you can see on the second picture is the forward frame where the hinges attached to must be shimmed down by 1/8" because the hinge pin from the jettison mechanism would mave been almost touching the skin. But adjusting the canopy frame is not simple and easy and one thing they do not say in the instruction is what are aceptable tolerance for the finish on the edge side. I am close but it is not perfect to say that it follows the shape of the fuselage perfectly and I am not sure on how to acheive this.
Finally, I have started reading the Dynon installation book as I shall start woring on the panel next month. Exciting time is coming up soon !
