Brief Description:  Drilling skins

Nothing different from the few last weekends which consist of installing and drilling skins. The only interesting thing is where the sking is turned from a sqare shape to a 1/4 circle, I used the same suggestion as I saw in the book of RVATOR collection I bought long time ago. I made tabs and bent them to match the shin shape at that location. I'am almost done other than a few skin trimmings. Next step will be the deburring, dimpling priming before final riveting.

What I would like to share here is Iinked to a purchased I made a long while ago and never been able to use it: the avery joggle too. As you can see in the first picture, I trimmed the base to be able to do smaller radiun, I installed a UHMW casing around it where the top wheels move with it by means of a nut (welded on the tool at the other end) and a screws. Since joggle is the same thickness as the skin you wand to joggle, how do you do a circle whith the wheel alreadyu closed ? Noah industry does one great joggle tool but I ordered it 2 months ago and cancelled it when last weekend I was advised an other 2 months of wait ! Well, I could not wait that long and decided to make one myself. And it works quite well ! That was a test done on a scrap piece and I must say that I was quite please with the result. So the fuselage access will have no doubler, but a simple joggle. I also plan to make a 4" hole under the bellcrank behind the luggage area because dismantling the wall every year is something I heard that bothers some of my fellow RV pilots.
