Drilled a 3/4 inch hole in the ribs to hold the wiring conduit (per Van's instructions). The outboard ribs went pretty smooth but the inboard ribs were another story. I drove all over town looking for a drill bit extension to hold my uni-bit but the only thing I could find was one that would hold a 1/4 inch bit so I decided to try to drill out the end to accommodate the 3/8 inch uni-bit. The extension was only $5.00 so I figured if it didn't work, nothing was lost. Well it worked!
