So, today I realized that I had made a big mistake and had to remove at least 30 rivets to be able to lift up the skin of the fin. Why, well I had made the strobe wiring wrong and had to take a shorter cut from the tip to the bottom to match the length of the precut cable. Tedious job but not that difficul. Having that done I anchored the wires in the top with two clamps. Also cut a 20 cm hole in the top of the fin tip and screwed the strobe directly onto the plastic tip. I may also need some silicone to seal around the strobe to get it water tight. It seems sturdy enough. The tip was attached to the fin with rivnuts and ss scres. Now I'm done with the fin.
