Cleaned out the garage and discarded old things never used. Vacuumed and washed the floor. Smeared cold asphalt on transitions between floor and wall. Covered the floor with fiber cloth and a "Platon" mat over to prevent moist and kept the joints tight with sticky strips. Got it a little bumby, unfortunately, as the joints should have laid juxtaposed, not on top of each other. No sweat! Then time for the layer of isolation plates which were easy to cut and handle. Then a layer with rag board just to prevent a clicking sound when walking on it. Finally, time to cover the floor with laminate. Easy to cut with the new jigsaw. An old psychedelic rug went on top. I also dressed the garage door with a thin layer of styrofoam and installed a heater on the wall.
