Today took a few hours to complete this part of my build. The original plans for the Gyro had the pitot tube on the upper mast, which fold when the mast is lowered. However, the pitot tube would not clear my garage door in this configuration. So, I decided to relocate it to point out just in front of the pod before the air got disturbed by the gyro, My friend Mike Beebe allowed me the use of his drill press and table vise so I could fabricate the 2 aluminum plates. The pitot tube itself was locally purchased at Aircraft Spruce.
They were test fitted, and looked good. Next will be primer, paint and mounting.
