I had some issues instrumentation on ground runs. One of the CHT indications was missing, the tachometer was missing, and the amps were not increasing. I figured I had a loose connection with the generator. On a later run I remembered that the Jabiru has a PM alternator, so I found that the alternator will not charge at idle. I found a CHT lead that had the connections reversed. It took a talk with Dynon to figure out that the input for the alternator was selected to the wrong pickup. After correcting this, I then had to delete the tachometer and set up a new tach to indicate properly. All systems go now! I figured this victory would best be rewarded by installing the data plate.
