Brief Description:  Oil Door

So nice to not be working on the baffles or baffle seal material, I can't tell you. Anyway, don't really like the typical Bearhawk idea of opening the entire side of the cowl just to check the oil preflight. So I decided to make an oil door. Ordered the parts last week, $45 for the hidden hinge... no problem, $114 each for the two flush latches. Ouch. Anyway, received them and started in. First, I used a fiberglass oil door I had from my earlier build, and used that to size the door. Cut it out with a dremmel and a few cutting wheels. Then I made a reinforcement ring. I made a door to fit out of surplus aluminum and spent some time getting it to fit right. Finally, after I was happy with the fit, I drilled the holes. Enough of 90 degree weather inside for a day...
