I went over to Dave Roe's hangar where he keeps his RV8 to borrow the burring bits needed for the Pitot Tube installation. After chewing the fat with some local "hangar rats" he invited me for a flight. My first in a RV8 ! We soared over the Valle Caldera (ancient volcano in Northern New Mexico) and landed at Los Alamos for a fuel stop. (cheapest gas in the area) and then back to Santa Fe. Beautiful winter day, great flight. I took the backseat stick for awhile. Reminded be of flying a glider as the controls are very light and sensitive. Not like the Cessna 172 I train in.
