From time to time I would train helpers to rivet if Harland was not available. I found that "dressing" each dimpled rivet hole in the outer skins with the hand deburring tool with just a couple revolutions helped seat the rivets perfectly. Sometimes dimpling alone was not sufficient for a perfectly flush fit.
