Brief Description:  Installing fuel sensors

Have been working on installing fuel sensors and interior ribs for days. Having already finished the left wing fuel tank, one would think the second one in the right wing would be a snap. Not so...
Such a long time has past since finishing the left tank, it's like we never did it before. Even made a couple of sequencing errors though easily corrected. One is, make sure you install ALL stiffeners with Pro Seal and rivets prior to installing the interior ribs. Once a rib is installed, you can't spread the fuel tank skin to do back riveting. So now, we have to buck and rivet the rest of the stiffeners since we already installed the three interior ribs. We did this by following the Fuel Sensor set of instructions, separate from the Van's tank instructions. No biggy, just more difficult.
A lot of the sequencing is like the chicken or the egg dillema so take your time to work it out.
One big improvement over the first tank is that we purchased some plastic caulking tubes from a marine supply source to pack the ProSeal in. (ProSeal is now called "Flame Master" from Van's) Much less messy and more efficient application of sealant. We also masking taped the rib and stiffener areas to reduce the mess. Worked out well.
