The anchor nuts were fixed to the nutplate with the rivets. Then the nutplate wes fitted into the rudder, hole were drilled to accept the anchor nuts and rivets. After it was all lined up correctly and I used a flox fillet to fill all the spaces under the nutplate and around the edges, then 4 ply's of bid to finish off the job. I used modeling clay to fill the holes in the nut plate to stop the resin from entering.
