Brief Description:  Final Drilling of Horizontal Stab

Once the HS-404 and HS-505 flanges get matched drilled to the 801PP skin, the two ribs get fastened together and matched drilled using the holes in the HS-405. This is done best with an angled drill, but being I do not have one the other suggestion is to use a longer drill bit.

The last step is to match drill all remaining holes on the skin to the structure using an #40 bit. Having the stab sitting vertical made this task pretty easy. The one thing to remember is to keep everything clecoed together then shift the clecos to drill all holes being careful not to skip any. The outboard end of HS-810 and HS-814 is the last part that gets drilled before disassembling the sturture for deburring.

The completed left horizontal stab ready to disassemble, start deburring all holes that have been drilled, breaking the edges of the skin and getting ready to clean. Once that is complete it will be time to start priming the parts.
