Got a visit today from Bill Day who bought Peter Becks project CX5 after he passed away this January. Peter was building a "second prototype" as he received an advance set of plans several years ago. Bill will be reworking some pieces that had a better design as the Dave progressed with the plans. I finished the build session with installing the nutplates for the front seat base pan. As pretty as engine turning is, I always liked the Fokker Eindecker sheetmetal cowl with the pencil etching treatment. Lacking the right grinder disc, the dremel turned out a neat pattern.
