Welcome to my log on the Thatcher CX5 build. I saw the single place CX4 several years ago and loved the lines and the fact it was a sheet metal build. But I wanted a two place and it was only rumors about when David was going to have that version available. I bought plans for a Sonerai and even bought a started project and built the spars. It was then that it was announced the CX5 was built and being test flown (Dec 2013). I made plans to go to Sun N Fun and attend the forum they were having. Long story short, I bought the plans there and sold the Sonerai. Glen Bradley has been flying the prototype and reports ever-better numbers as they fine tune the prop. As one of the first builders, we are finding small corrections to the plans, but they are detailed (~24 sheets) and it's not complex construction. Please contact me if you have any questions.
