The waterjet was supposed to be out of commision for 2 weeks due to a broken nozzle. Got an email last night that it was fixed! Booked time and got the control horns cut and welded. Aileron torque tube cut and then drilled the hole in the spar (yikes!) for it to pass through. Mounted the FMN10 bearings. The C3 rib will need the square cutout made lower for the conecting rod.
The elevator link runs above the spar. Cut the rod and drilled and tapped for 1/4-28 rod end. Initially thought it ran outside the F5 vertical so I cut a slot in the contour rib. This was not right as the control shaft it connects to would be too far to the right to engage the support bearing, Looking at the plans again I realized the arm rest that covers it was further inboard (2" from the longeron) and there was room inside the F5 vertical. This solved alignment issues.
