Brief Description: Fitting of upper & lower cowling
We started by fitting the lower cowling. Areas around the front wheel strut were required to be cut away and also where the cowling meets the fuselage. To hold it in place we applied clecoe's. We hand made a centre round wooden block to represent the area taken up by the propeller. This was to ensure the cowling was fitted "centered" and balanced. When we fitted the upper cowling once again we applied clecoe's and discovered that the passenger side was short by 1/2 inch which caused cosmetic problems. Hence, we applied our fiberglass skills and lengthened the side. The next page will show the end result and fixing of the locking devices.
