Brief Description: Install the aileron counterweights
Firstly we were required to disconnect the aileron cables so it was free. The aileron counter weights are secured into pre-existing holes in the ribs of the tips of the wings. We bent the shaft to match the contour so it was flush with the bottom of the fairing when the aileron was in the nuutral position. Then fitted the counter weight. The counter weight was then required to be trimmed by simply cutting and then smoothing the lead until it fully balanced the aileron. This procedure meant we had to trim a little bit away and then reinstall the balance, ensuring we did not cut away too much.
