Due to the fact the wings fold back the hatches on the roof need to be removal. Firstly we needed to trim the recess moulds into the fuselage. Then we drilled the holes and fixed it inplace with cleco's. These holes will have nutplates fitted. The sides of the hatch were put in place and again holes drilled and cleco'd.
Noel Whitticker was over again for his fortnightly chat and looking at our progress. There is no doubt the experience he shares is valuable. Noel came up with a winning idea how to fix the problem we had with the side of the hatch exposed.......fibreglass, off course!!
