A single bolt holds each gear leg in place in the sockets. The gear legs are made from hardened steel and we went through many drill bits. It took a lot of patients to get all the way through. Rang Harry Delong from Glasair in USA about drilling of gear legs and fitting. We thought these legs look pretty expensive going by the weight and we wanted to get it right the first time. The left side leg slipped into place reasonbly quickly ....10 minutes. The right hand leg took about 2 hours and lots of rubbing back with sand paper. Darren rang Harry to see if there was an easier way.....Harry simply said keep doing what your doing.
