We supported the aileron in the neutral position.....even with the flap when retracted. The rod was installed when the aileron bellcrank was in the neutral position - inboard edge perpendicular to the spar. We ensured each rod end is threaded onto the pushrod past the inspection hole. Straight forward installation.
