Brief Description:  Set Toe-In & Built Up Whell Assemblies

I purchased some 3/4" x 3/4" non-aircraft aluminum angles from the local farm store along with a couple of short bungie cords to hold the toe-in setting assembly tool in place. It's a little tricky to get set up so that everything stays in place, but it's a very simple way to set the toe-in. I used the axle spacer in the kit to space the axle/sleeve "toe-in" the correct dimension per the plans. i believe it was .7 degrees.

After drilling the axle gear sleeves and installing the titanium bolts temporarily, I started the build-up of the whell assemblies. I did find that the bearing races were not completely seated in the wheel halves prior to build up. Other builders have mentioned this. Since the wheel bearing can take high axial loads, I just decided to put everything together and tighten the axle nut to until all the races and bearing were seated. Seemed to work just fine and provided a more even force when seating the races. I did this after I packed the wheel bearings with Aeroshell #5 hi-temp bearing grease.

Also in the third picture you will see the brake disc that is part of the new AeroBrake installation.
