Today I started covering the Fuselage. Mr. Roland van Haarlem is coaching me during the covering process. Roland covered quite a few planes before and I am very pleased to have him on board.
The Plane is going to be covered with the Poly-fiber system.
Started with the bottom of the Fuselage and cut the fabric to length. Next we bonded the fabric to the bottom longerons and trimmed the excess fabric off.
After drying of the glue, we ironed out all the wrinkles in the bond area.
Finally we pre- tensioned the fabric by use of a small iron.
Covering is not that difficult once you understand the procedure, you just must take your time.
