Today I was at the hangar to help install a new mag on the Decatholon. While waiting for the A&P to arrive I cleaned the vertical stabilizer with MEK and then alcohol, then applied the N numbers I picked up yesterday. I was a little conflicted on how to align the numbers but decided to alig them with the lateral axis of the airplane, even though this is not square to the top of the VS.
Putting the N numbers on might be a little premature as I have not recieved my registration back from the FAA but since I have the N number reserved I felt like doing so was fine.
