With the windscreen permanently installed the rear skirts were clecoed to the canopy one mor time to check fit. They had a nice snug fit with the canopy closed so all clecies were removed from the canopy and the canopy and frame were removed from the fuselage.
The side skin braces were back riveted to the side skins.
The bottom inside edge of the side skins was scuffed and cleaned and a strip of low friction tape applied. The is where the side skirt will rub against the side of the fuselage.
The side skins and braces and the inside skirt were clecoed to the frame. The canopy and top strip were clecoed to the frame. The rear skirts were clecoed to the canopy and frame.
Braces were riveted to frame, canopy was riveted to frame and one side skirt was riveted to frame. These are all pull rivets, probably 150 or so, and my shoulders are sore tonight!
The rivet puller I was using crapped out on me mid afternoon so I bought another at Northern Tool (same model) and it has been much easier to operate. I guess I wore the other one out.
