Brief Description:  Upper cowl rework

I fitted the air induction system to the mounted backplate, as I wanted to check for the connection to the lower cowl.

The lower cowl was installed, then I attempeted to install the upper cowl. This was the first time I tried to install it since the attach hinges had been riveted. Unfortunately, it just would not fit. I guess there is enoung play with the clecos and I had introduced some twist into the piece and once the hinges were firmly attached it would not fit. I tried a number of things, a bit of sandind and shaping, but to no avail. I finally drilled out all of the rivets on the left side of the upper cowl and removed the hinge piece. The hinge on the upper side is slightly thinner than the one on the bottom so there may have been a bind introduced when both were riveted flat. I will use Pro-Seal to build this up slightly and plan to let the Pro-Seal cure with the cowl clecoed to the hinge and attached to the bottom cowl hinge so the alignment will be appropriate.

Kind of a bummer to spend the whole day doing rework.
