The replacement cowl hinges were drilled to the lower cowl.
Guide tubes for the cowl hinge pins were fitted to the firewall and attached to the cockpit bulkhead using Adel clamps. The pins attaching the upper and lower cowl will be inserted from inside the cockpit so the front of the cowlk will not need a pin entry area.
Top and bottom spark plus were installed and torqued to spec.
I began riveting the top foreward skin to the fuselage. I have postpored this to provide easier access for wiring and plumbing, but the time has come to close it up. By using a line to roll the skin toward the ceiling I was able to rivet each of the three ribs running from the firewall to the bulkhead by myself. I also was able to rived the bulkhead from the outer ribs part way down the side. I will continue to rivet as much as I can get to by mayself but will need Skip to come help for some of the rivets.
