Brief Description:  Center fusleage

I continued initial assembly of the center fuselage. After completing the clecoing of the bottom skin to the bulkheads and seat and baggage compartment ribs I match drilled all holes. Next the foward section of the center bulkhead was bolted to the rear section using previously fabricated spacers. This is a very critical spacing as this is where the wing spars are sandwiched and attached to the fuselage. Then the side panels were clecoed to the center bulkhead. I tipped the whole assembly on its nose and that provided a very good working postion to complete match drilling the ribs to the bulkheads and to work with the outside seat ribs. These had to be fluted to provide the proper bend to follow the side of the skin. Next the corner ribs were fitted to the outside edges of the baggage area bottom skin. Lastly the forward and aft attach straps were fabricated for the corner ribs and were drilled to them.

The initial assembly should be complete are ready for disassembly, deburr and dimple.
