Brief Description:  F-705 Bulkhead completed

Today I disassembled all 705 bulkeahd components. All parts were final prepped by removing protective film and deburring rivet holes, corners and edges. Angle stock parts were alodined and the bar stock lower support was primed. Wiring and rudder cable holes were drilled with a unibit to the proper size for the specified snap bushing.

With all parts prepared the bulkhead was reassembed and riveted. I did this in several stages to make the riveting easier. The angle and spacer were first flush riveted to the top bulkhead by backriveting using the long backrivet plate I got for the rudder. The top piece was completed by riveting the back angle using the squeezer. The remainder was assembled and riveted using the squeezer, which was quick work since only a few rivet sizes are used.

After assembly the flap bearing blocks were drilled to the bulkhead then put away until after skin riveting takes place. Lastly the seat bealt attach anchors were bolted to the bulkhead.

Having complete 705 I gathered the parts for 706 bulkhead so I can begin work tomorrow.
