The first order of business was to make the final connections for the fuel sender wires and plates. The final wires were stripped and the connectors crimped and then soldered on. It was tight working inside a tank bay but all worked out OK. When this was done I attached the two connectors to the inner plate. They now need a slather of sealant before mounting the inner plates. Next I got the outside ribs for both tanks riveted. I thought this would be a quick job but it took most of the day. Each hole had to be cleaned out of sealant before the rivet could be set, so that made it time consuming. At the end of the day I wiped down the areas that will have sealant applied in the next session with MEK so they are clean and ready.
