Completed some detailed preparation on the tanks today. Match drilled the tank attach angle and reinforcement plate to the right inboard tank rib. Match drilled the capacitive fuel sender plates to their appropriate ribs, then dimpled the plates and mounted platenuts. These were then temporarily attached to their approriate ribs and the ribs clecoed back to the tank skin to check for proper clearance. The outside rear stiffener was trimmer to provide clearance. The inner ribs for both left and right tank were prepared by cutting the tank access hole using a fly cutter in a drill press. Then the holes for the tank vent and the fuel level sender wire coupler were drilled. I inadvertantly oversized the vent fitting holes so began fabricating a doubler to rivet to the rib to reduce the hole size.
